Bride and groom can discuss this with both families to determine the wedding finances.
The following is a traditional wedding guideline:
The Bride and Her Family:
- Engagement party
- Invitations, announcements, thank you notes, stamps
- Wedding dress, accessories
- Bride's parent's wedding attire
- Groom's ring
- Gifts for the attendants
- Any bridal consultant fees
- All expenses of the ceremony, except for those specified as the groom's family (list below)
- Music for the Wedding and reception
- All reception expenses including reception hall rental, catering, food and beverage
- Wedding cake
- Guest book
- Flowers for ceremony and reception and bouquets/corsages for attendants and any other special wedding participants
- All photography, videography or recordings of the ceremony & reception
- Transportation of the wedding party to the reception site
The Groom and His Family:
- Engagement & Wedding Rings
- Marriage license
- Officiant's fee
- Groom's wedding attire
- Groom's parents' wedding attire
- Gifts for best man, groomsmen & ushers
- Boutonnieres for groom, groomsmen & ushers
- Bride's flowers
- Corsages for mothers and grandmothers
- Rehearsal dinner
- Honeymoon
Bridesmaids, Groomsmen, Ushers:
- Wedding Attire
- Personal transportation to the wedding location
